My name is Saqib Wilson, I live in Taxila Pakistan. Taxila is a Historical Place. It is said that the first University was established here before the birth of Christ. We have many Archaeological sites. It is believed that when St. Thomas started his Missionary Journey he ended up in Taxila.
We are three brothers and two sisters; I am second in the line. My father works in Islamabad as a gardener. My elder brother Atif Wilson works for a NGO in Islamabad. My two sisters are still in school completing their education; and my younger brother helps me in my shop. I attend Pastor Haroon’s Church where I accepted Lord Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior and on 7th June, 2007 I was baptized in the water.
I could not complete my studies for some reasons; therefore my parents sent me to Technical School to become Draughtsman; somehow I could not complete that course and ended up working in my Uncle’s shoe store selling shoes. I worked their for few months learned the skill of business realizing that perhaps that was what God wanted me to do for the rest of my life. I got interested in it and thought and sought counsel from my family and Pastor to start my own business. Again I felt that it was God’s Plan for me that when I was sharing this with my Pastor he told me about Market Place Champions and how I can apply to start my business and learn some business ethics as well as some skill with the Micro Loan facility they have to help me expand my business. I applied and with the facility of Micro Loan I expanded my business of shoes selling.
God blessed me richly and in a couple of months I started to make more profit than I thought. I saved my profit and in four months I was able to repay the loan amount with the service charges on one time which I did. Then I applied again to expand more; so now my shop has expanded my business is growing with the Micro Loan facility provided by Market Place Champions. It is a joyful time for me and my family to see my business growing. My father and mother sometime tease me by saying “you have become real businessman you don’t even give discounts to us”.
I used to spend much time with my friends but now I give full attention to my business. Whenever I meet my friends they are happy and ask me how I have started and expanded my business some of them still don’t have any work/job to do. They all appreciate me and are encouraged that if I can accomplish this they can too. But I always tell them this is God’s blessing.
I am thankful to my Pastor and Market Place Champions for the guidance, encouragement and training they provided me to see my business growing. I feel and think what the Market Place Champions is doing is a chance for our Christian people to uplift themselves.
This loan not only has affected my day to day business operation but also uplifted my family; before this only my father and elder brother were the sole earner for the family but after I have started my business and made profit from it my family has been blessed by this. Now I can say that my sisters who are in school will be able to get good education and our family standard will rise.
As my business is growing I have started to give Tithe on my income. I am also thinking to donate few things to our church what they need and I am saving money for that. Clearly I can see God’s blessing on me.
I need your prayer support. Pray that God would bless me and I be more prudent in all my dealings. Market Place Champions really helping Christian in uplifting them and I am thankful that I am one of them who have been uplifted. God bless Market Place Champions so that they help more of Pakistani Christian people like me.
With grateful heart

Harvest Field Corners appealed to our contributors for this $1,300 need and Parker Christian Center; Parker CO responded. An Islamabad PK church located in a slum area. The first image shows the muddy unpaved walkway to church over 1/4 mile in length. The second image shows a fresh concrete walkway going by entrance to church building and is now paved clear to the main street.
